Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established family-owned commercial subcontractor in the Greater Philadelphia area. The ideal candidate will have 2–10 years of commercial estimating experience and a solid understanding of how projects are built.

You will prepare estimates for commercial interiors, takeoffs, pricing, and collaborate with leadership on bid strategy. This on-site role offers growth into potential project management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of commercial estimating experience.
• Experience with commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings or related interior scopes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and bids for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews.
• Develop labor and material pricing.
• Review subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, conflicts and project risks.
• Communicate with GCs and project teams during bidding.
• Participate in pre-bid and post-bid discussions.
• Help develop competitive proposals.
• Work with leadership on bid strategy and project selection.
• Maintain estimating documentation.
