Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator in the Malvern, PA area. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects, taking off quantities from plans, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure profitability.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, 5+ years of commercial estimating experience, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficiency with estimating software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from blueprints and specifications to determine precise material requirements.
• Analyze project documents, plans, specs, and site conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information for estimates.
• Prepare and submit pre-bid packages, including estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist in bid proposals and participate in the bidding process.
• Perform value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Support procurement in negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, pricing structures, and industry standards.
