The Commercial Escrow Officer serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the settlement lifecycle, coordinating all aspects of the settlement process from contract receipt through funding.This position requires a thorough understanding of commercial escrow procedures, title insurance practices, lender requirements, and real estate transaction structures. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage multiple high-value transactions in a fast-paced environment.Location: This position is on-site in Raleigh/Durham, NC.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage commercial escrow transactions from opening through funding.Review purchase agreements, title commitments, lender instructions, and related closing documentation.Prepare settlement statements and handle disbursements.Coordinate with buyers, sellers, attorneys, lenders throughout the closing process.Verify receipt of earnest money deposits and closing funds.Ensure compliance with company procedures, underwriter guidelines, and state and federal regulations.Oversee funding and disbursement of escrow funds.Develop and maintain strong customer and business relationships to support growth and client retention.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.Minimum 5 years of escrow closing experience, with significant commercial transaction experience preferred.Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, escrow procedures, and lender requirements.Ability to read and interpret purchase agreements and closing documentsExperience with Softpro escrow software platforms preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and project management abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transaction management software.
