Job summary

Tarantino Properties is seeking a Commercial Engineer to support our Westside Houston buildings. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and access systems, with light repair work and compliance tasks. You will manage work orders, coordinate with tenants and vendors, and maintain safety and PM documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems relevant to commercial buildings.
• Ability to perform light HVAC/electrical/plumbing repairs and routine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and city codes.

Responsibilities

• Moderate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, fire protection, access systems.
• Complete light HVAC repairs such as replacing filters, logging and resetting alarms, basic PM.
• Complete light electrical repairs including outlets, bulbs, ballasts, switches and wiring traces.
• Complete light plumbing repairs including stopping leaks and replacing spigots.
• Identify and correct building safety hazards; maintain paperwork and PM logs.
• Coordinate with management and tenants; plan day using work orders and vendor scheduling.

Tarantino Properties is seeking a Commercial Engineer for our buildings in Westside Houston.

Responsibilities

• Moderate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, fire protection, access systems
• Ability to complete light HVAC repairs – replace filters, log and reset alarms, troubleshooting, basic PM knowledge
• Ability to complete light electrical repairs – change out wall receptable, replace light bulbs, ballasts, light switches, trace circuits
• Ability to complete light plumbing repairs – stop leaks, replace spigots
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Understanding and abiding by city requirements, keep track of permits and expirations
• Identify and correct building safety hazards
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with management
• Ability to communicate with tenants in a professional pleasant and helpful manner
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to plan your day based off the work order system and plan ahead
• Ability to maintain and complete paperwork and keep track of PM
• Ability to collect vendors bids, communicate issues with vendors and vendor scheduling
• Organizational and time management skills, ability to complete work orders in a timely manner
• Work overtime and weekends if needed/must be able to respond 24 hours
