Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is hiring for a Commercial Electrician in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

The Commercial Electrician must demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications for commercial electrical equipment installations. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting are essential. Candidates should stay informed about industry trends, developments, and regulations.

Typical duties include:

1. Installing, repairing, or replacing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic lines, assemblies, lighting, and other electrical components.
2. Installing, repairing, or replacing generators and industrial storage batteries.
3. Installing electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment to meet CEC and NEC standards.
4. Maintaining and calibrating industrial equipment and connected devices.
5. Testing electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
6. Analyzing electrical failures and replacing components to minimize production downtime.
7. Performing preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution.
8. Ensuring correct wiring and connections on equipment controls to prevent hazards.
9. Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
10. Performing basic and advanced troubleshooting.
11. Adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
• Journeyman's License preferred.
• At least 3 years of electrician experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
• Physical ability to climb ladders.
• Own transportation is required.
