Job summary

IES Electrical in Suffolk, VA is seeking a full-time Electrician to perform installations, alterations, additions and repairs of electrical systems in commercial construction. The role requires reading blueprints, conduit bending, and traveling as needed.

Applicants should have 2–4 years of recent commercial electrical experience, OSHA 10 (or ability to obtain), and pass pre-employment background/MVR checks when operating company vehicles. On-site work with strong safety focus.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Job Summary

• Performsinstallations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial electrical construction industry.
• Works from all types of ladders.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.

Specific Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years recent commercial electrical experience.
• Experience bending pipe and running various types of conduit.
• Experience reading construction drawings and blueprints
• High School Diploma/GED.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
