Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeks a full-time commercial Electrical Foreman in Suffolk, Virginia. The role supervises craft workers, reviews blueprints, and ensures safety and quality on projects.

Travel may be required. Candidates should have 6–10 years of commercial electrician experience, with a state electrical license highly preferred. Leadership and on-site coordination are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• State Electrical License strongly preferred
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks where required

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers; plans labor requirements.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders for supervision areas.
• Ensures completion and documentation of safety activities (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to meet specs.
• Enforces safety policies and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems; maintains compliance with company policies.
• Travels as required to project sites.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Job Summary

• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers, plans labor requirements.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• Confirms completion & documentation of project Daily/Weekly/Monthly safety activities reporting.
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interprets company policies to workers enforcing safety regulations, and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-10 years recent commercial electrician experience or related experience.
• State Electrical License strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
