About the Role
You've run crews, built jobs from rough-in to trim-out, and fixed problems before the GC ever knew about them. Now you want to do it for a company that backs you up. At Cove Electric, you'll lead commercial and hospitality projects with the support of a 50-year company that's here to stay, and you'll work local, close to home.
What You'll Run
- Lead crews on commercial, hotel, and tenant improvement projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and RFIs, and catch issues early
- Lay out work, order material, and manage manpower and daily schedules
- Coordinate with GCs, other trades, and inspectors
- Install and oversee service, distribution, panels, lighting controls, and low-voltage tie-ins
- Make sure work meets NEC, California Electrical Code, and Title 24 requirements
- Keep jobs safe, clean, and on schedule
- Track daily reports, change-order work, and material usage
What It Takes
- California General Electrician certification
- 7+ years of commercial electrical experience, including [3]+ years as a foreman
- Proven experience running crews on commercial projects; hotel and multi-story experience is a plus
- Strong blueprint reading, conduit bending, and layout skills
- Working knowledge of NEC, CEC, and Title 24
- Valid California driver's license and clean DMV
- Leadership that gets respect on the job site, not just the title
