Job summary

Sylvester's Dock & Door Services, a fast-growing facility maintenance company serving commercial customers, seeks a Door Technician in our Chesapeake, VA office to install, maintain, and repair high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, gates, dock levelers, and related equipment.

You will diagnose, service, and repair systems, install new equipment at customer sites, keep accurate digital work orders, uphold safety standards, and represent the company professionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years as a Door Technician preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
• Ability to meet customer site access requirements, which may include a background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, dock levelers, and gate systems
• Install new equipment and components at customer sites
• Maintain accurate digital work orders and communicate job status in real time
• Uphold safety standards on every job site
• Represent Sylvester's professionally with every customer interaction
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
