Job summary

DH Pace Company is seeking a Commercial Door Service Technician in Asheville, NC to maintain and repair roll up doors and related equipment. Training will be provided by industry experts to help you excel in this role.

You should have basic construction or electrical experience, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and a valid driver’s license. A company truck and fuel are provided, along with tool and boot allowances and paid training.

Qualifications

• Background in construction labor, electrical work, carpentry or related mechanical work.
• Experience in installing or servicing hardware and doors is a plus.
• Ability to work with basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair a wide range of commercial doors and hardware including roll up and dock doors.
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
• Track and submit job-related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Operate in a safety-conscious manner at all times.

What You'll Do

• Repair a wide range of commercial door and door hardware including roll up doors also known as dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors and commercial entry doors
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services
• Track and maintain job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner
• Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
• At least one (1+) year experience in commercial door industry preferred
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work at heights and use a ladder
• Must possess valid driver’s license and good driving record
