Summary
This role primarily works with a sole customer (Performance Foodservice) to prepare and deliver equipment and supplies quotes with a 24‑hour turnaround, maintain a strong working relationship with the customer, helps convert their customer needs into accurate, timely pricing, and places the equipment order once a signed quote is received. The position does not include project management, construction jobs, kitchen design, or contractual design services. Will work out of our Salina, Kansas, office.
Schedule
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 3 hours per day on average, mornings preferred
- Travel: None expected.
Responsibilities
- Receive quote requests from customer
- Confirm items and quantities needed, special requests, and desired price ranges
- Bid Development:
- Build quotes that meet the customers’ needs at acceptable cost and profit margins.
- Coordinate with internal teammates as needed to complete an accurate quote, such as design, layout, or contracted installation.
- If a request is for work outside quoting (for example, a custom layout or a contracted installation), route it to the appropriate internal contact and stay focused on the quote.
- Submit quotes within 24 hours of receipt.
- Order and Delivery Support
- Place orders when the signed quote has returned.
- Monitor delivery process and resolve product, freight, or delivery questions on those orders as needed.
- Project Oversight
- Manage project activities to ensure they stay on time and within budget.
- Convey credit terms and work with accounts receivable to ensure timely payments
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and transportation teams to stage projects and deliver equipment to job sites as required.
- Address any issues related to product or delivery, working with the service department, factories, and representatives to resolve any issues promptly.
- Work with factory representatives and the Project Manager to provide field training and other support as needed.
- Assist with measurements at job sites for new construction and remodeling projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all products in collaboration with the Service department, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Sales Manager.
- Ongoing Responsibilities
- Stay updated on product knowledge, applications, and industry trends within the restaurant equipment segment.
- Attend SEFA Training Conferences, dealer-designated company sales and training meetings, and trade shows as able.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or construction management is preferred.
- Experience with CAD or Rivet for reading drawings, including electrical and mechanical details preferred.
- Understanding of commercial equipment, including installation, maintenance, and operation is preferred.

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, architects, contractors, and industry professionals is required
