Job summary

TRULAND Equipment in Ohio is seeking an experienced semi-trailer truck operator to transport equipment for the dealership and, when needed, instruct customers on basic operating procedures.

You will haul equipment between dealer facilities, support the sales team with deliveries, and keep accurate delivery records while maintaining certifications in line with DOT/OSHA requirements. A valid CDL and a clean driving record are required, with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as semi-trailer truck operator.
• Experience hauling irregular and oversized loads.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class driver’s license required and driving record acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment to/from customers and between dealer facilities; may also pick up new equipment from a supplier.
• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed.
• Maintains records of pickup and deliveries with signatures and receipts.
• Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy as requested by TRULAND.
• Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
• May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required.
• Maintain a regular inspection of the assigned equipment and immediately report anything on the equipment in need of repair.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

• Knowledge of proper load securement techniques.
• Valid CDL Class driver’s license required.
• Driving record that meets insurance company parameters.
• Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
