Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support and expand its commercial DDC service operations in Mobile, Alabama. The role focuses on hands-on experience with building automation systems and growing within a developing service division.

You will engage in service, troubleshooting, and system optimization while contributing to department growth. The ideal candidate will have experience with DDC systems, strong HVAC knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and fix issues across

Qualifications

Experience with commercial DDC systems (Niagara, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation.
Ability to troubleshoot controls, wiring, and communication networks (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

Responsibilities

Perform service, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial DDC control systems.
Diagnose system issues including controllers, sensors, networks, and field devices.
Execute system startups, commissioning support, and point-to-point verification.
Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization.
Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions clearly.
Document service activities, deficiencies, and recommendations.
Assist in identifying service opportunities and upgrades.
Work closely with engineering and project teams when needed.
