Job summary

First Business Bank, a division of First Business Financial Services, Inc., invites applications for a Commercial Credit Analyst Intern starting June 2027 at our Madison, WI campus. The internship offers hands-on experience with the commercial lending team, including credit analysis, cash flow modeling, and loan presentation development.

You will work closely with senior credit managers, lenders, and business development officers, gaining exposure to loan approvals and policy interpretation

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree with graduation May 2028.
• Strong Excel skills and technology proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Input financial statement data into company software and analyze creditworthiness.
• Prepare Cash Flow worksheets to demonstrate borrower’s ability to repay loans.
• Assist with credit presentations and memos for Loan Approval Committee.
• Learn loan policy interpretation and communicate it to colleagues.
• Input data, build tables, and develop borrower relationships in credit presentations.
• Assist with other projects with department manager.
