Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst in Seattle to analyze credit information, assess risk, and support lending decisions for a portfolio of clients. The role focuses on structuring loans, monitoring performance, and expanding client relationships in collaboration with Relationship Managers.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in credit or lending operations, a bachelor’s degree, and strong financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs financial analysis and calculations, assesses client creditworthiness, prepares detailed credit summaries.
• Supports credit-granting decisions by making recommendations to manager.
• Supports the negotiation of loan terms and conditions and the structuring of loans.
• Monitors portfolio performance and compliance, analyzes metrics and industry trends.
• Develops proposals to capture new business and expand client relationships.
• Builds and maintains client relationships to ensure long-term financial performance.
• Structures and supports new, renewal and extension loans aligned with client needs and policy.
