Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in credit, lending or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.
• BMO Credit Qualification within one year of assignment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to credit policies, regulatory standards, and guidelines to manage risk exposure.
• Apply accounting principles and financial statements to support credit analysis and underwriting.
• Understand commercial loan agreements, including covenants, collateral, and amendments.
• Analyze financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports, and related docs for credit decisions.
• Independently perform covenant compliance and collateral margining calculations for assigned portfolio.
• Make policy-compliant credit decisions using established principles.
• Perform financial calculations accurately with limited supervision.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose practical solutions.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support team and business goals.
