Job summary

Grace, a leading global supplier of catalysts, engineered materials, and fine chemicals, seeks a Commercial Counsel to join its legal team in Columbia, Maryland. The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel for Commercial and focuses on supporting the Materials Technologies organization with contract drafting, negotiation, and broad commercial counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. required with active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum five years drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Materials Technologies organization on all contract types (sales, distribution, consultancy).
• Review, negotiate and draft contracts including supply, manufacturing, and service agreements.
• Assist in internal and external communications and provide commercial legal guidance.
• Coordinate with IP, litigation, and tax teams as needed.
• Provide additional legal support and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
