Job summary

ezCater, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Corporate Counsel (Commercial) to support its rapidly growing business.

You will draft, negotiate and review vendor and inbound contracts, build templates, and help scale the contracting process while giving practical guidance to internal clients. You will work with cross-functional teams, balance legal risk with business objectives and manage projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years legal experience in a law firm or in-house, with commercial contracts experience.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and interpreting a wide variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and other agreements to support the business, ensuring both business and legal objectives are met
• Building and improving our contract templates, playbooks, talk tracks and legal processes to help our business scale
• Developing, delivering and refreshing trainings on legal issues, contract best practices and key negotiating points
• Providing practical legal analysis, strategy and guidance to internal clients and cross-functional teams that balances business objectives and legal risk and assisting clients in implementing legal guidance
• Managing assigned legal projects to completion
• Assisting in other legal matters, such as legal research, strategic transactions and legal escalations
