This business-focused attorney will draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements across procurement, construction, services, leasing, and project contracts, supporting the lifecycle of energy projects.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 2–5 years of legal experience.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Exposure to energy, renewable energy, or power sector.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and issue-spotting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements (procurement, construction, services, operations, leasing, and project-related).
• Support legal needs throughout renewable energy project lifecycles from construction through operations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to balance legal and commercial objectives and ensure efficient transaction execution.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and business risks while providing practical legal advice.
• Lead negotiations and manage discrete transaction workstreams.

A rapidly growing renewable energy independent power producer is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its in-house legal team. The role offers exposure to high-value transactions and strategic business initiatives, partnering closely with commercial, finance, operations, development, and leadership teams to support a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, construction, services, operations, leasing, and project-related contracts.
• Support legal needs throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from construction through ongoing operations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient transaction execution while balancing legal and commercial objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and business risks while providing practical, solutions-oriented legal advice.
• Lead negotiations and manage discrete transaction workstreams.
• Prepare and oversee contractual notices, claims, and related correspondence.
• Assist with due diligence efforts, contract administration, and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of legal templates, playbooks, and scalable contracting processes.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-5 years of legal experience.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Exposure to energy, renewable energy, or power required.
