Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Commercial Attorney to join its legal team in Philadelphia on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This fully onsite role requires 4+ years of commercial/legal experience and the ability to independently manage a broad set of transactional matters.

The successful candidate will draft, review, negotiate, and revise commercial agreements, advise stakeholders on obligations and risk, and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and in-good-standing bar admission with Pennsylvania.
• 4+ years of commercial or transactional legal experience.
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to independently manage a high volume of commercial agreements.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Prior in-house or law firm experience handling commercial matters.
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Handle vendor, customer, service, licensing, confidentiality, and other business contracts.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk, and commercial matters.
• Support contract negotiations from initial review through execution.
• Identify potential legal and business risks and provide practical guidance.
• Assist with corporate and transactional matters as needed.
• Work cross-functionally with business teams to support day-to-day legal needs.
