Job summary

L&L Builders seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations in Heidelberg, PA. You will supervise subcontractors, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are on time and within budget while coordinating with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality control across all phases of construction. Travel to job sites in and around Pittsburgh may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience as a superintendent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Solid knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control to keep projects on track financially.
• Proficient in project management, planning, communication, and progress tracking.

Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time role based in Heidelberg, PA. This role oversees day-to-day field operations, including managing construction sites, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating project activities, conducting site inspections, enforcing safety standards, and communicating with project managers, clients, and trade partners. The superintendent will review plans and specifications, track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality control throughout all phases of construction. The role also involves resolving on-site issues, assisting with scheduling and procurement, and contributing to continuous improvement of construction processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in construction site management, including supervising crews and coordinating day-to-day field operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. (OSHA)
• Solid organization skills, including scheduling, documentation, and prioritizing multiple tasks across projects.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control to help keep projects on track financially.
• Proficiency in project management, including planning, communication, and progress tracking.
• Experience in commercial construction; familiarity with general contracting workflows is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
• Comfort with using modern technology and construction management software for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
• Regularly report project status to Project Leaders, supervisors, site engineers and other officials
• Communicate any production, quality, or cost issues with the Project Leader in a timely manner
• Participate in Performance Review round table discussions to provide feedback on performance of crew members and subcontractors
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience as a superintendent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in and around Pittsburgh, PA.
