RWE Design Build is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead diverse projects with on-site oversight and coordination with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, ensuring safety and quality, maintaining reports, and coordinating inspections. Strong communication, scheduling, and Procore familiarity are required for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent.
• U.S. ground-up experience is required.
• OSHA 30 Certified.
• Experience with Procore.
• Strong MS Outlook, Excel, Word and document management skills.
• Able to travel locally and nationally.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction schedules and monitor progress on site.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors daily.
• Ensure materials arrive per schedule and maintain logs.
• Conduct and chair weekly meetings with subs.
• Prepare punch lists and coordinate project closeouts.

Job description

RWE Design Build is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects. This position requires the candidate to lead construction efforts and monitor the progression of schedules with frequent onsite check-ins at our office in Downers Grove, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with and understand plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures
• Coordinate and maintain construction schedules to ensure projects are being completed according to drawings and specs
• Ensures quality standards are being met throughout the project
• Conduct meetings with subcontractor representatives of the project on a daily and/or weekly basis to schedule and coordinate construction activities
• Ensure materials are delivered to construction sites according to construction schedules
• Work with owners, owner's reps, architects and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to the Project Manager
• Maintain daily logs, progress photographs and weekly reports into Procore
• Complete and submit all paperwork as required
• Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings as may be required for the successful and timely completion of the project(s)
• Compile and schedule punch list items for completion as well as coordinate project closeouts
• Schedule and attend all required inspections

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
• MUST HAVE 5+ YRS OF U.S. COMMERCIAL GROUND UP EXPERIENCE
• OSHA 30 Certified
• Experience with Procore
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Must currently create an initial schedule for the project and review weekly with sub-contractors, PMs, and all Stakeholders
• Must possess strong technical, communication and computer skills, including competency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and document management systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations and codes
• Local and National travel is required for this position
• An ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, additions, interior remodels, design build, carpentry
