Henkel Construction is actively seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects with precision and pride. This role is perfect for a results-driven professional who takes ownership of on-site construction activities, manages field crews, and ensures safety, quality, and timelines are met.

You'll be a vital leader in the field, contributing to the successful execution of Henkel's high-quality commercial projects across Iowa.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and site safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Iowa with limited overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and safety compliance on commercial construction sites.
• Maintain OSHA “Competent Person” status and First Aid Certification.
• Conduct orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing site safety training.
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and ensure timely completion of all project phases.
• Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and job specifications.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to plan resources, schedules, and project logistics.
• Maintain secure and clean job sites, keeping SDS sheets and safety postings up to date.
• Handle site communication and represent the company at meetings and public events.
• Maintain and submit daily job logs, timecards, field reports, and safety documentation.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback for crew members.
• Ensure professional conduct and promote Henkel's reputation in the community.

• Proficient in using technology, including tablets and smartphones for reporting and communication.
• Able to travel across Iowa with limited overnight requirements.
• Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, kneel, and use PPE on active job sites.
• Salary range:$75,000 - $110,000

Work Schedule:

• Full-time | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Occasionally additional hours as needed based on project requirements

Work Location:

• Jobsites are primarily located in Central Iowa; Occasional out-of-town or overnight travel may be expected
