Job summary

Konik is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-impact commercial construction projects in Minneapolis, MN. This role focuses on coordinating on-site activities, enforcing safety, and ensuring schedule and budget alignment from groundbreaking through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in multi-family commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing multi-family commercial construction projects.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise on-site construction activities with foremen, assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel.
• Ensure project milestones, materials, and inspections align with schedule and budget requirements.
• Maintain proactive communication between field operations, project management, and design teams.
• Implement and enforce company safety programs, including weekly audits and OSHA compliance.
• Create, maintain, and update project schedules and 3-week look-ahead plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and initiate corrective actions to ensure on-time completion.
• Oversee quality control and compliance with client specifications throughout all project phases.
• Manage and maintain SWPPP and other site-related environmental requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and team members to ensure project success.

We’re partnering with a respected commercial general contractor and real estate developer to hire a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-impact construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who excels in site coordination, safety leadership, schedule execution, and team development. You’ll be a key driver of jobsite performance, quality, and client satisfaction from groundbreaking through closeout.

Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
