A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role at Fiorilli Construction. With over a decade of experience, you oversee complex commercial construction projects. Your responsibilities span the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery and post-construction support.

The day begins with a thorough review of project progress and performance metrics, including profitability, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction. You maintain detailed scorecards and collaborate closely with company leadership and accounting to provide insightful financial projections and strategic guidance.

Key aspects of your role include managing procurement, change management, and subcontractor relationships. You leverage advanced project management tools to optimize communication and workflow efficiency across multiple job sites. Regular site visits ensure adherence to rigorous quality, safety, and efficiency standards and reinforce compliance with industry regulations.

Client communication is paramount. You maintain proactive dialogue to keep stakeholders informed of project milestones and any adjustments to timelines or scope. Your leadership extends to mentoring junior project managers and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence among the team.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

• 10+ years of experience working in a large-scale commercial construction environment
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
• Strong technical proficiency in industry-standard software and project management tools.
• Experience with EOS Worldwide principles preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

This full-time project management position typically works 8.5 hours per day from Monday to Thursday with a half-day every other Friday.
