FRONTIER is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. We are a forward-thinking company dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial construction projects on time and within budget. If you have strong leadership skills, a passion for construction management, and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
Role Overview
As the Commercial Construction Project Manager at FRONTIER, you are the CEO of your projects, owning all aspects from pre-construction through closeout. Your leadership, clear communication, and proactive management will drive successful project delivery while maintaining exceptional quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Own the project completely—take full accountability for schedule, cost, quality, and outcomes.
- Partner with Superintendents, field teams, and office support—share information freely and early to solve problems together.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with all team members to maintain project health and team alignment.
- Follow through on commitments and address problems early with no excuses, just ownership.
Pre-Construction
- Complete timely and effective project buyouts before commencement.
- Plan and schedule projects thoroughly, defining clear milestones and deliverables for a strong start.
- Lead the “Stand & Deliver” session with the FRONTIER team prior to project kickoff to align expectations.
Construction
- Manage change orders in real time within Procore, ensuring all owner and subcontractor extras are tracked accurately.
- Oversee the client billing process, including pay application submissions, deadlines, approvals, and funding tracking.
- Facilitate weekly project team meetings with Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Accounting to review project status.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure subcontractor billings are accurate, pay applications are processed timely, and subcontractors are funded promptly.
- Monitor schedule adherence and communicate recovery strategies if milestones or deliverables are at risk.
- Provide bi-weekly financial updates within Procore and participate in monthly financial review meetings.
Post-Construction
- Manage project closeout activities to ensure completion within 30 days of project end, coordinating with FRONTIER team members.
- Track and ensure timely final funding after project completion.
Core Values We Live By
