An established industry player is seeking a motivated Commercial Construction Laborer to join their dedicated team in Woodburn, Oregon. Utility Construction Company has an immediate opening at our Woodburn, Oregon facility for a Commercial Construction Laborer on our internal facilities maintenance crew. Must be a safe worker with a can-do attitude! This position works with and for the Woodburn-based Commercial Construction Lead.
Responsibilities:
The Commercial Construction Laborer will serve as a member of a dedicated crew, supporting internal company tenants as we safely and efficiently, construct, improve, maintain and (at times), wreck out, company-owned offices, shops, warehouses and storage yards.
Requirements:
• Experience in residential or commercial construction (i.e., sheet rock, framing, carpet, painting, woodworking, etc.) Or steel building erection/modification, concrete tilt-ups erection/modification, concrete flat work or excavation;
• Construction safety knowledge/orientation;
• Ability to work in a team setting;
• Must be able to climb and work in an elevated position;
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
• Must be able to climb 2 flights of steps;
• Valid Driver’s License with no incidents, accidents or violations within the last 12 months; and
• Willingness to work outside and travel.
Preferred Experiences:
• Basic ability to read prints and specifications;
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems;
• Basic welding/cutting exposure;
• Class A or B, Commercial Driver’s License with current DOT medical card; and
• Fork Lift Certified.
Successful candidates should have relevant experience including project history for office tenant improvements and steel building construction. Our ideal candidate will own and bring basic construction tools as well as be safe, organized and motivated.
