Job Title: Commercial Construction Estimator at Intex Flooring, L.L.C.

Responsibilities include:

1. Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials needed for resilient, carpet, and hard surface flooring projects.
2. Estimate quantities and types of materials required, such as tile, carpet, LVT, and sheet vinyl.
3. Prepare accurate cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment for each project.
4. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and accurate estimates.
5. Consult with clients, vendors, and construction personnel to discuss estimates and resolve issues preemptively.
6. Coordinate with architects, owners, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to estimates.
7. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, providing ongoing support and advice.
8. Analyze construction documents to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor, and develop installation techniques.
9. Utilize VBA programming in Excel to compile historical cost data, set up cost monitoring, and create reporting systems.
10. Develop and maintain a Macro-enabled Excel spreadsheet to automate estimating processes.
11. Create and update a database of material costs and suppliers.
12. Monitor project costs and quantities, addressing discrepancies or potential overruns.
13. Prepare detailed shop drawings using Measure Square and AutoCAD for field installation directions.
14. Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
15. Conduct studies to develop standard hour and cost data or identify cost reduction opportunities.
16. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and documentation throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years' experience in flooring installation, estimating, and industry standards.

Special Requirements:

• At least two years of experience using AutoCAD, VBA programming in Excel, and Measure Square.
