As a Commercial Construction Estimator with Fiorilli Construction, you will be the heartbeat of their operations.

Your primary mission? To drive competitiveness in the construction industry by creating compelling and aggressive bids that translate into secured new business and meet customer expectations. Imagine yourself on the frontline of the bidding process, meticulously crunching the numbers and understanding the cost of goods like a true industry expert. Your input will directly impact and drive the continued growth and success. The estimating role is a key Right Person Right Seat position in the business acquisition process and provides customer experience by working aggressively with subcontractors and co-workers to present the finest cost of goods sold (COGS) with the best, most aggressive, and thorough offering to our customers.

Our Estimators Are Accountable For

• A healthy bid to award ratio by their efforts
• Growing subcontractor relationships and interest in being part of our "FIO Family" culture
• Enhancing the customer experience by adding unique value engineering offerings with every bid submission
  
  

The most important aspects of your role?

• Building strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Ensuring competitiveness in project bidding
• Conducting post-bid negotiations to successfully close business with clients
• Collaborating with the Director of PreConstruction and managing multiple projects concurrently, varying in size and complexity
  
  

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for preparing and presenting competitive construction project bids, developing client scopes of work, and setting project schedules. These are no small tasks, but the stakes make the rewards that much sweeter. Your efforts will build trust-based relationships with clients, leading to repeat business and bolstering the company's reputation.

To set you up for success, the team has a structured onboarding process for the first 90 days, complete with a checklist of training modules and regular progress reviews. Your initial weeks will be an immersive experience of the workings of the company, equipping you with all the tools you need to excel in your role.

But the excitement doesn't end with your daily tasks. Fiorilli Construction is committed to your success and offers a "Pay for Performance" Incentive Pay plan, providing potential quarterly bonuses based on overall company success and your individual performance. The also advocates for work-life balance, providing a full-time hybrid work schedule, flexible start and finish times, and a Concentrated Time Off (CTO) work shift which could mean up to 26 Friday afternoons off in a year!

Qualifications For a Construction Estimator

The Fiorilli Construction team is looking for someone with a go-getter attitude, comfortable with taking initiative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, risk-oriented environment. You are outgoing, communicative, and persuasive. You have an eye for detail, a love for repetitive and methodical work, and an adaptable approach to rules and methods.

To excel in this role, you, therefore, need to have:

• 2 - 3+ years of experience in knowing HOW TO BUILD COMMERECIAL BUILDINGS AND WHAT IT COSTS TO DO SO for a large-scale professional commercial construction environment
• Strong accountability and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional relationship-building capabilities
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities to dissect bid proposals
• Tech-savviness, particularly proficiency in O365 suite applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, MS Teams
  
  

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D takeoff software to help prepare presentations for bids
• Experience in using BuildingConnected or similar tools/software
• Experience with EOS Worldwide
• Experience in Jonas Premier cloud-based software for project management and Building Connected cloud-based software for estimating
