Weltman, Weinberg & Reis is seeking a Legal Account Resolution Specialist for our Commercial Collections group in Cleveland, OH or Columbus, OH. The role concentrates on recovering delinquent commercial debts in legal and post-judgment stages, locating guarantors, and negotiating settlements.

The position requires strong communication, data entry, and problem-solving skills, with a pathway to a hybrid schedule after six months and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years relevant business experience or equivalent.
• Commercial collection (B2B) experience preferred.
• Accurate typing and data entry skills.
• Basic computer operation and internet research.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Requests and mails letters to notify and encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with businesses or guarantors by phone to determine reasons for non-payment and seek resolution.
• Calculates payment arrangements and negotiates settlements with supervisor/client approval.
• Documents financial information and updates notes in the system.
• Contacts businesses, guarantors and attorneys for updates and information.
• Handles court communications and information gathering for payment handling.
• Uses skip tracing tools and public records to locate assets and addresses.
• Determines next activity for each file and monitors required documents.
• Maximizes options to achieve debt payment and adheres to standards.
• Maintains professionalism in all interactions and completes required trainings.
