Job summary

CBRE Government & Defense Services is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to perform basic cleaning duties in assigned areas, including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal. Shift is Monday to Friday, 10:00am–3:00pm.

Responsibilities include stocking bathrooms, cleaning surfaces, and following safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience are required; certifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of job-related custodial experience.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or similar field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus.
• No specific certifications required (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving/rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely.
• Follow standardized cleaning processes per company standards.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment usage.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and procedures; solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Shift

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 3:00pm

Primary Job Functions

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

Experience

License/Certification

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
