Job summary

CBRE Government & Defense Services is seeking a Commercial Cleaning Lead to oversee cleaners on site, ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and clients, and supervise staff.

You will coordinate daily activities, schedule training, liaise with clients, inspect work, and model CBRE-GDS values while maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications

Job description

As a CBRE, Government & Defense Services Commercial Cleaning Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the work activities of cleaners within the site. You will supervise the staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

Shift: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Primary Job Functions

• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff.
• Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Check cleaning equipment condition. Order cleaning supplies as needed. Ensure supplies are in a safe, secure area always.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees. Handle complaints and feedback.
• Inform the team of requests and confirm completion. Inspect work done by cleaners andsubmitdaily cleanliness reports.
• Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
• Ensure standardized cleaning process meets company standards.
• Provide daily cleaning support toprivate areasof the buildingdesignatedas needed.
• Resolve complex problems and identifyappropriate approachesto existing solutions toaccomplishteamobjectives.
• Mayestablishnew techniques to ensure the team is able to meet itsobjectives.
• Hasa direct impact onteamobjectivesas well as theobjectivesof related teams.
• Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customerobjectives.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

What you'll need:

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts withinownfunction and basic knowledge of related job functionsrequired.
• Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset
