Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks an experienced Claims Account Manager to join our team in New York. You will manage claims across a construction-focused, middle-market portfolio, advocate for clients, and maintain strong relationships while leveraging AMS 360 software.

A strong background in claims handling and a P&C license (or plan to obtain within 6 months) is required, with leadership potential to guide the department as needed.

Qualifications

• Property & Casualty (P&C) broker license required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years in claims handling, preferably within an agency or as a claims adjuster.
• AMS 360 software proficiency.
• Knowledge of New York labor laws and construction sector claims processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims processes for a diverse portfolio of accounts, with a focus on construction (40%) and middle-market businesses.
• Advocate for clients by working directly with companies and adjusters to resolve claims.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Handle non-licensed administrative tasks as needed.
• Utilize AMS 360 software to manage claims and related documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure seamless operations within the claims department.
• Potentially lead and manage the claims department and guide the team.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
