Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/Chiller Technician to join our service team in the Utah region. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize a variety of commercial HVAC systems and building automation across industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include commissioning chillers and controls, preventive maintenance, and stakeholder communication. Requires EPA 608, 5+ years of HVAC experience, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Local travel and Independence valued.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Experience with BAS/DDC controls platforms is a plus.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting across low and high voltage systems.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
• Commission and start up chiller and controls systems for peak efficiency.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls issues.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and related equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and control schematics; keep accurate service documentation.
• Communicate system findings and next steps to customers.
• Adhere to safety requirements, EPA standards, and company policies.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.
