Job summary

Building Ventures in Houston, TX is seeking a Building Services Technician to perform carpentry, maintenance and basic concrete work on commercial sites. Travel between local job sites will be required, and candidates should be experienced, safety-focused and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate material estimates, coordinating with vendors, and delivering quality finishes while following OSHA protocols.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years commercial carpentry or facilities maintenance experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation; able to travel between job sites.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools, reading technical drawings/measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry, trim, door and hardware installation, cabinet work and basic concrete tasks on commercial sites.
• Diagnose facility issues, make repairs, prepare material estimates, source materials and coordinate with vendors.
• Complete painting, surface prep, tape and float, and minor finishing work to meet project standards.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols, use PPE, keep work areas clean and hazard-free, and enforce site safety standards.
• Communicate with clients, supervisors and team members to coordinate scope, schedules and project handoffs; organize daily tasks to meet deadlines.
