Qualifications

• Comfortable using hand and power tools, reading technical drawings/measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry, trim, door and hardware installation, cabinet work and basic concrete tasks on commercial sites.
• Diagnose facility issues, make repairs, prepare material estimates, source materials and coordinate with vendors.
• Complete painting, surface prep, tape and float, and minor finishing work to meet project standards.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols, use PPE, keep work areas clean and hazard-free, and enforce site safety standards.
• Communicate with clients, supervisors and team members to coordinate scope, schedules and project handoffs; organize daily tasks to meet deadlines.

About this roleJoin a busy commercial building services crew in Houston, TX as a Building Services Technician. You'll handle facility maintenance, repairs, and minor construction for commercial sites - work that uses your carpentry skills and practical problem solving every day. This role is best for experienced carpenters who are self-motivated, safety-focused and comfortable working independently on client-facing projects.
