Job summary
SAFEbuilt is seeking a Commercial Building Inspector for the Greater Wichita Falls, TX area to perform daily field inspections of residential, commercial, and public facility projects. You will review plans, provide interpretations of codes, and maintain accurate records with permitting software while dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Ideal candidates have ICC inspector certifications, Texas plumbing license, and at least 3 years of field experience applying building codes.
Qualifications
- Must have extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology.
- 3+ yrs. experience interpreting codes in the field with code-compliant solutions.
- Ability to interact with staff, public, contractors and officials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily field inspections of residential, commercial and public facility construction projects.
- Reviews plans and calculations for building components to ensure code compliance.
- Maintains inspection records and computer logs in permitting software.
