Responsibilities

• Construct and lay out brick, block, and stone assemblies per project specs.
• Measure distances and lay out patterns using plumb bobs, levels, and lasers.
• Mix, apply, and finish mortars for strong bonds.
• Cut and shape masonry units with power saws and chisels.
• Attach masonry to structures with anchors and reinforcing steel.
• Collaborate with union crew and supervisors to meet quality and safety standards.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Construct, repair, and install commercial brick, block, and structural stone assemblies according to project specifications.
• Measure distance points and lay out pattern courses using plumb bobs, levels, and laser alignment tools.
• Mix, apply, and finish mortar formulations to ensure optimal bond strength and structural integrity.
• Cut and shape masonry units using power saws, chisels, and specialized field equipment.
• Fasten masonry to structural frameworks using anchors, ties, and reinforcing steel components.
• Collaborate with union crew members and field supervisors to meet rigorous quality and safety standards.
