Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Litigation Consultant for Commercial Bodily Injury. The role handles high-end cases with serious injuries and complex coverage, developing strategies for satisfactory resolutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing reports, coordinating with counsel, and pursuing early settlements. Requires 5 years of claims experience, a Bachelor's degree, and state licenses.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position

Responsibilities

• Reviews/acts on reports and forms; responds to inquiries; seeks legal opinion and early resolution; communicates resolution
• Handles high end cases with serious injuries and/or complex coverage scenarios
• Responds to decisions, agreements, or court orders; creates action plan; determines need for examination; obtains client authorization
• Identifies cases for settlements/redemptions
• Gathers documents and coordinates with client designees
• Coordinates with local counsel and monitors performance
• Attends mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed
• Works with partners to affect early return-to-work
• Performs other duties as assigned
