Job summary

Timberline Bank in Colorado seeks a Business Banking Officer to independently manage a growing portfolio of business banking relationships. You will drive business development, analyze financial data, and structure sound credit solutions for customer growth while managing risk.

You will collaborate with credit, treasury management, and retail teams, mentor junior staff, and stay current on banking products and market trends to provide trusted advisor guidance to local businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Several years of business banking, commercial lending, or related financial services experience.
• Demonstrated business development and portfolio management success.
• Strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills.
• Ability to independently manage customer relationships and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new loan, deposit, and treasury management opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong referral and center-of-influence networks.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and business operations to structure sound credit recommendations.
• Present loan opportunities and relationship strategies clearly and effectively.
• Proactively monitor portfolio performance, identify risk trends, and manage relationship issues appropriately.
• Deliver consultative banking solutions tailored to customer needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with credit, treasury management, retail, and other internal partners.
• Assist with coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products, market conditions, and industry trends.
• Represent the bank professionally within the community and business market.
