Job summary

Citi seeks a Commercial Associate – Assistant Vice President based in Kuala Lumpur to manage international mid-market client relationships, onboarding and financing solutions. You will work with Senior Relationship Managers to deliver strong client service and leverage Citi's global network.

The role requires 5–8 years in banking, strong sales and communication skills, and solid analytical/credit abilities. Collaboration with global teams and adherence to compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of banking experience.
• Previous banking experience in Commercial/Corporate banking is desirable.
• Experience in a Client Relationship role or client facing role.
• Sales, presentation and communication skills. Focus on first class service quality.
• Analytical and credit skills.
• Knowledge of general banking processes, general understanding of commercial banking solutions.
• Ability to build & develop strong client relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and CRM applications.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Citi network and internal teams, becoming a primary contact for client requests and escalations.
• Support Senior Relationship Manager in management of assigned portfolio of clients.
• Deliver a 'Client First' approach with day-to-day banking and operational support for Mid-Market clients.
• Engage with clients to maximise Citi value through insights and global solutions.
• Monitor onboarding processes, CRM updates and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with KYC standards during onboarding and ongoing.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banking teams and product peers to service clients.
