Job summary

Progressive Insurance seeks an experienced insurance defense attorney for its commercial auto and bodily injury litigation team. You will represent Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies in courts and arbitration, handling trucking and auto cases end-to-end and negotiating settlements.

Experience in commercial auto litigation and bodily injury law is preferred; federal court admission is a plus. Hybrid position with occasional travel to offices for meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and a minimum of 5 years general/auto litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice law in Georgia
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies

Responsibilities

• Handle trucking and commercial auto accident cases from start to finish.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and negotiate settlements.
• Work with clients and claims partners to prepare litigation reports.
• Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records and assess risk exposure.
