Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking an Appliance Mechanic to install, service and repair commercial food service equipment, including stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers, using hand tools, test equipment and wiring diagrams to meet manufacturer specifications. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and may train staff on equipment use.

A high school diploma or equivalent, two years appliance mechanic experience or schooling, and valid driver’s and forklift

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years appliance mechanic experience or accredited schooling.
• Valid driver's license and forklift license.

Responsabilidades

• Performs preventive & corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Disassembles and reassembles appliance equipment; examines mechanical and electrical parts.
• Troubleshoots and takes readings using power testing equipment.
• Inspects timers, thermostats, switches, pumps, bearings, belts, gears and wiring; calibrates equipment.
• Provides support with user training and familiarization on new and existing equipment.
• Replaces worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, bearings, belts and wiring.
• Other duties as assigned
