Job description

  • At KAYAK, data is how we make better decisions for travelers and partners alike — and the Commercial Analytics team is at the center of that work
  • As an Analyst on this globally distributed team, you’ll help turn commercial data into clear, actionable insights that directly support revenue decisions across flights, hotels, cars, and advertising, working closely with colleagues across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific
  • Analyze commercial datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and performance drivers across travel verticals including flights, hotels, cars, and advertising
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization and reporting tools to give commercial teams timely visibility into business performance
  • Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests from commercial teams
  • Monitor data accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain reporting reliability across existing data sources
  • Define and document key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with commercial teams, and build models to support forecasting and goal-setting
  • Collaborate with data engineering and business intelligence colleagues to ensure data quality and translate commercial reporting needs into technical requirements
  • Contribute to global analytics projects such as inventory forecasting, partner-facing reporting tools, and the development of AI-assisted analytics solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior commercial leaders
Benefits
  • Work flexibly: Our global flexible work policy lets our teams decide if they head into one of our offices or work from anywhere else
  • Team-wide time off: Most of our team disconnects at the same time each year to recharge and reconnect
  • Global volunteer week: Take VTO (Volunteer Time Off) to support the organizations and charitable efforts you believe in
  • Wellness: We take care of each other - providing opportunities and spaces to live that work-life balance
  • Resource groups: Our five ERGs are employee-led groups for underrepresented communities and their allies
  • Career growth: We provide opportunities for our team to develop their skills – or learn new ones – on their own terms
  • At least 2 years of experience working with data in an analytical, business intelligence, operations, or similar role — we value demonstrated ability and transferable skills; equivalent experience, training, or self-directed learning is considered
  • At least 2 years of hands-on SQL experience, writing queries to explore and manipulate large datasets
  • Comfort working in a global, cross-functional environment with colleagues across multiple time zones

  • Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, automation, or modeling
  • Familiarity with the travel, e-commerce, or digital advertising industry
  • Experience working with AI or agentic analytics tools
  • Exposure to large-scale data warehouse environments (e.g., Trino, Vertica, or similar)
