Job summary

Centerline Logistics is seeking a Commercial Analyst in Channelview, TX to review, evaluate, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiencies across all business segments. You will establish customer relationships, assist with demurrage, and support contract administration while producing actionable reports.

The role requires knowledge of marine petroleum transportation, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with multiple teams in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
• 1-3 years of Maritime Experience Preferred
• Must have some knowledge of the marine petroleum transportation industry
• Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
• Experience with maritime associations and sales preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge in petroleum transport and logistics, terminal transfers, and bunkering.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of customer relations, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced office setting and be capable of handling multiple projects with firm deadlines.
• Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
• Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
• Computer skills that include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and typing of a minimum of 60 words per minute.
• Ability to work with office staff, customers and vessel crew members.
• Valid driver's license.

Job Condition and Environment

• Periodic travel expected
• Work with but not limited to computers, fax machines, copiers
• May be required to sit for long periods of time.
• Infrequent light physical effort required.

Expected Hours of Work

• Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Some after hours and weekend hours may be required
