Job summary

Lightspeed Networks seeks an enthusiastic Commercial Account Executive to drive sales in the Willamette Valley region. This full‑time role requires building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing deals in a telecom/data services context.

You will report to the Director of Sales and travel as needed. The position includes a commission component and is exempt from overtime, with bi-weekly pay and monthly commission opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of related sales or customer service experience.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in telecommunications or technology.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing commercial accounts and developing client relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities via cold calls, referrals, and leads; pursue and close sales opportunities.
  • Qualify prospects and identify client projects; maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Develop a 30/60/90-day plan to meet quotas and drive revenue.
  • Manage territory using prioritization and time management; build market presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leverage CRM for effective prospecting and closing.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commercial Account Executive to join our growing telecommunications company that is redefining the data network industry. This is a full-time exempt position that is not eligible for overtime and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. In addition this position is eligible for commission paid on a monthly basis. This Position covers sales territory in our Willamette Valley region.

The CommercialAccount Executive builds business opportunities by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients in assigned geographic territories. This is a field position; therefore, travel is required.This position will report to the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:
SalesandBusiness Development
  • Generate new business opportunities via cold calls, referrals, and lead generation; follow up on sales and marketing leads to close sales opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough lead/prospect qualification, ensuring proper identification of clients and projects.
  • Develop and maintain a 30/60/90-day sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of qualified prospects, driving production levels that meet or exceed monthly quotas.
  • Implement a prospecting strategy based on individual territory dynamics on a daily and weekly basis, in collaboration with sales leadership and the program.
  • Manage a territory using technology, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Build market position by working vertical markets, developing partnerships and being visible in the business community.
Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain relationships with clients and their contributing revenue base by providing support, information, andguidance;researching and recommending new opportunities.
  • Address questions and complaintsin a timely mannerto resolve problems, ensuring ongoingclient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technical, customer service, andsupport teams to manage the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring a comprehensive experience that drives sales, satisfaction, and new revenue growth.
Strategy and Analysis
  • Share competitive analysis with sales and marketing teams to inform strategy.
  • Design customized, cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • LeveragetheCRMsystem(Salesforce)todevelopprospecting and sales strategies that ensure high activity and effective closing ratios while keeping CRM updated.
Professional Development and Community Engagement
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, andestablishingpersonal networks to keep abreast of current technology trends.
  • Territory developmentto includebuilding local business partnerships and organizational affiliations, enhancing LS Networks' positioning and brand.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Maintain open and effective lines of communication throughout the organization to foster a sense of teamwork, enthusiasm, pride, and quality workmanship.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • 2+ years of related sales and/or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Experience in managing commercial accounts and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends using Excel and other tools to inform sales strategies and decision-making
  • Proficient in using various software applications and mobile apps relevant to the position
Salesforce and Data Management
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Salesforce, including data entry, pipeline management, and reporting.
  • Utilize Salesforce to analyze sales trends, monitor progress against goals, and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate and up to date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and prospect information within Salesforce.
  • Generate and interpret Salesforce reports to provide actionable insights and improve sales performance.
  • Leveraged Salesforce automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Salesforce best practices and system adaptation.
Communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to create impactful proposals, quotes and presentations

  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate mobile cell phones, tablets, and computers
  • Capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and digital tools as needed for job functions
  • Must have access to reliable broadband internet, facilitating continuous communication and collaboration with team members and clients, and ensuring seamless participation in virtual meetings and online workflows
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle with insurance to travel to client meetings, trade shows, and other external events
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Frequent walking and standing for extended periods while engaging with clients and customers, at various locations.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions while engaging in field prospection of door-to-door sales activities, including rain, snow, heat, and smoke from wildfires
  • Lift and carry promotional materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally, and assist in setting up displays or marketing materials at events
  • Work in an office environment, primarily seated at a desk, utilizing a computer for extended periods
