Job summary

Hermès of Paris seeks a seasoned Commerce Systems Architect to lead SAP S/4 Hana workstreams for the Americas, acting as a gatekeeper for commerce integrations and guiding technical teams across regions. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on delivery in a high-impact retail IT environment.

Based in New York, the candidate will collaborate with Paris, NYC and global partners, delivering data migrations, system updates and robust test scenarios while staying aligned with business

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of IT experience with minimum five years in Retail IT.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters preferred.
• Exceptional critical thinking.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with project management.
• Familiarity with retail systems including Cegid POS, Magento and mobile apps.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA or similar Retail ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Manhattan Associates WMS.
• Regular in-person work at a Company-designated work location is an essential function.

Responsibilities

• Support the SAP S4 Hana Implementation Project for Hermes Americas and all pre-induction projects.
• Act as the gate keeper for all Commerce Systems integrations.
• Balance big-picture strategy with hands-on technical guidance.
• Oversee system configurations and developments, testing, enhancements, new process flows and rules.
• Proactively analyze technical issues, attempt resolution independently, and elevate only when appropriate.
• Support and deliver data migration projects, with a strong understanding of migration strategies and technical considerations, data integrity, validation, and performance impact.
• Plan and support system updates and maintenance windows.
• Build and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test scenarios.
• Meet with business leaders to analyze current workflows and map out functional or technical needs.
