Job summary

The Choctaw Nation is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform complex accounting responsibilities and support the Accounting Manager in Durant, Oklahoma. This on-site role starts at $23.93 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts.

Responsibilities include general ledger entries, reconciliations, and the monthly close process, with benefits and a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, ratios, and conversions.
• Ten Key by touch proficiency.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel for complex spreadsheets.
• Two years’ directly related experience.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose or Objective(s):

Start Rate: $23.93 Hourly | 100% On-Site | Monday-Friday| 8:00 AM - 4:30PM

5. Process payables and receivables.

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance or 2 years related experience.
• Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions)
• Use Ten Key (by touch)
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Prior experience using of Microsoft Word and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
• Two years' directly related experience
