Job summary

The Choctaw Nation is seeking a Hotel Housekeeping staff member to maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel rooms and facilities. You will report to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor or Manager. Start rate is $15.50/hour with part-time, full-time, temp and PRN on-call options.

Must be able to work holidays and weekends in a dynamic hotel environment. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning rooms and common areas, operating cleaning equipment, and ensuring health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality housekeeping preferred (Hotel/Casino setting).
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical properties, safety data, and disposal methods.
• Knowledge of cleaning machines and basic maintenance.
• Familiarity with general cleaning standards and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Stock housekeeping supplies as delivered.
• Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms and areas; move or lift objects as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, halls, restrooms, casino floor and other areas.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstery and draperies with vacuuming.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash properly.
• Wash windows, sills, doors, walls and woodwork.
• Answer inquiries or direct to appropriate department.
• Immediately address and correct any cleaning issues.

Job description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Hotel Housekeeping staff member, you will ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the Hotel Rooms and Hotel facilities. You will report to the Hotel Housekeeping Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Hotel Housekeeping Manager.

Start Rate: $15.50/hour | Part-Time, Full-Time, Temp, and PRN On-Call Available | Variable days | Must be able to work holidays and weekends

Primary Tasks:

• You will stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.
• Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms or work areas; including move or lift objects to do so.
• Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, Casino floor, and other work, storage, and customer areas including metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner.
• Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• You will wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork.
• Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department when needed.
• Expected to immediately clean or correct problem areas.

Perform other responsibilities may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
• Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
• General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry
• Understand government public health regulations.
