Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment is seeking a Lead to supervise cash drop/count operations in a climate-controlled casino environment in Oklahoma. The role involves leadership, counting, scheduling, and reporting while maintaining security protocols and physical endurance to lift up to 50 lbs.

You will oversee cash handling for gaming machines and tables, train staff, monitor equipment, and ensure timely submission of reports to Gaming Accounting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year experience in drop/count preferred.
  • Ability to handle large amounts of money.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee removal and counting of cash proceeds from gaming machines and tables.
  • Guide Drop Count Associates to ensure policy compliance.
  • Coach and train team members; provide input for evaluations.
  • Maintain equipment and supply levels for an effective workspace.
  • Coordinate drop schedules with casino operations and cage management.
  • Prepare and submit reports to Gaming Accounting on time.
  • Protect casino assets and report suspicious activity to security or management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Provide guidance to Drop Count Associates to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Coach, counsel, and train team members as needed, and provide input for performance evaluations.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure an effective working environment.
  • Coordinate drop schedules with casino operations and cage management.
  • Ensure all required reports are accurately prepared and submitted to Gaming Accounting on time.
  • Protect casino assets and report any suspicious activity to security or management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with one year of experience in both drop and count processes is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to handle a large amount of money.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have completed some leadership training and exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Must be able to obtain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License and/or an Oklahoma Horse Racing License.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
